Annual Kick-off for the EU Proximity and Social Economy Platform – 6 February 2025

We are excited to invite you to the Kick-off Event for the EU Proximity and Social Economy Platform! This online event, hosted by the European Commission, will take place on 6 February 2025, from 14:00 to 16:30 CET.

This platform marks the launch of a new space dedicated to strengthening local economies and advancing social innovation across Europe. During this session, participants will:

• Gain insight into the Transition Pathway for the social economy ecosystem, including key outcomes from the first pledge cycle.

• Learn how to submit new pledges to showcase their commitment to social and economic progress.

• Participate in a guided tour of the platform, discovering opportunities, funding information, and networking possibilities.

• Hear from influential voices in the sector during the ‘Voices of the Ecosystem’ session, discussing trends and opportunities for collaboration in the twin digital and green transitions.

• Discover the Ambassador Programme, which recognizes the leaders driving change in the proximity and social economy sectors.

This event is an excellent opportunity to engage with stakeholders, connect with experts across Europe, and explore how the platform can support social entrepreneurship, local economic development, and Europe’s green and digital transformation.
