Strengthening Links Between Academia and the Social Economy Ecosystem
As a partner in the Danube4SEecosystem project, the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Maribor, contributed to strengthening cooperation between academia and organisations supporting the social economy ecosystem across the Danube Region.
Throughout the project, the Faculty collaborated with social enterprises, local public authorities, business support organisations and innovation hubs, promoting knowledge exchange and dialogue between research, education and practice. This cooperation strengthened the links between academic expertise and the practical needs of the social economy sector while encouraging innovative approaches to social entrepreneurship and regional development.
An important element of this collaboration was the exchange of experience with organisations such as Impact Hub Ljubljana, creating new opportunities for networking, mutual learning and the sharing of good practices among organisations committed to social innovation.
The partnerships established through Danube4SEecosystem provide a strong foundation for future cooperation, ensuring that the connections developed between universities and social economy stakeholders continue to support innovation, knowledge transfer and the long-term development of more resilient and inclusive social economy ecosystems across the Danube Region.
