Danube4SEecosystem Final Conference and Social Award Ceremony Held in Hungary
On 26–27 May 2026, the Danube4SEecosystem Final Conference and Social Award Ceremony took place in Szekszárd, Hungary, organised by Central Danube Development Agency Nonprofit Ltd. (CDDA), project partner from Hungary, within the Danube4SEecosystem project, funded by the Interreg Danube Region Programme.

The event brought together all project partners, including the South Muntenia Regional Development Agency (SMRDA) as Lead Partner, alongside representatives of public authorities, social economy organisations and other relevant stakeholders from across the Danube Region. Participants reflected on the project's achievements and explored opportunities for future cooperation in support of social economy development.
The first day of the event was dedicated to project management and communication meetings, presentations of activities and results achieved under the project's specific objectives, and discussions regarding the closure of the fifth implementation period and preparations for the final reporting phase.

The second day focused on presenting the project's final results, key achievements and long-term impact, as well as the Danube Social Economy Network initiative. Participants also had the opportunity to learn about inspiring examples of cooperation between social enterprises and local public authorities through the Danube4SEecosystem Social Award competition.
The event concluded with the Award Ceremony, recognising outstanding initiatives for their innovation, social impact, replicability and quality of cross-sectoral cooperation.
Implemented by a partnership of ten organisations from the Danube Region, Danube4SEecosystem aims to strengthen social economy ecosystems by supporting cooperation between local public authorities and social enterprises, contributing to a more inclusive labour market and sustainable regional development.
