RERA organised a National Knowledge Transfer Workshop
On 28 April 2026, RERA organised the National Knowledge Transfer Workshop “Current Challenges of Social Economy” in České Budějovice within the Danube4SEecosystem project. The event was held in a hybrid format at the South Bohemian Science and Technology Park and brought together representatives of public authorities, social enterprises, support organisations and other stakeholders from across the Czech Republic.
The workshop focused on strengthening cooperation between social enterprises and public institutions, sharing practical experience and discussing current developments in the social economy ecosystem in line with the objectives of Danube4SEecosystem SO3.

The programme introduced the current activities and results of the Danube4SEecosystem project, including the role of RERA as project partner and regional actor supporting the development of social economy in South Bohemia. Participants were also presented with examples of good practices and approaches from other Danube region countries collected during the implementation of the project. The discussion highlighted similarities in challenges faced across the region, particularly in relation to public procurement, labour market integration, financing and cooperation between social enterprises and local public authorities.
A key part of the workshop was the interactive panel discussion involving representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic, TESSEA - the Czech thematic network for social economy, the Responsible Business Declaration platform and the social enterprise Domov sv. Anežky. Discussions focused on the implementation of the new legislation on integrative social enterprises, responsible public procurement, access to financing, cooperation with municipalities and the future professionalisation of the sector.

The event was designed as an interactive platform encouraging active stakeholder engagement and exchange of knowledge. Participants had the opportunity to submit questions throughout the event using the Slido application, contribute to discussions and share their own practical experiences and challenges related to social economy development and cooperation with public authorities.
The workshop also opened discussion on future opportunities for social enterprises, including ESG-related cooperation with private companies, innovative service delivery models and cross-border market expansion between the Czech Republic and Austria.

The event contributed to the ongoing development of the Danube Social Economy Network by facilitating knowledge exchange, collecting stakeholder feedback and supporting cooperation between social enterprises, policymakers and local public authorities.
