CYCLING TRIP TO THE SNR “UPPER DANUBE”

The project team of the EU project "Inclusive Border Cycling - IBC" within the Danube Region Programme, in cooperation with the Tourist Organisation Apatin, is organising a one-day cycling trip through the Special Nature Reserve "Upper Danube" on Sunday, June 7th.

We invite all lovers of nature, recreation and active vacations to join us in driving through the unique landscapes of the Danube region, with an educational program and socialising in nature. Applications are accepted at the premises of the Tourist Organisation Apatin (Trg Nikola Tesla 13), on working days.

📍 EXCURSION PROGRAM:

10.00 - Gathering of participants and registration

Parking at Marina Apatin

10:30 a.m. - Departure to the Special Nature Reserve "Gornje Podunavlje"

11.15 – Arrival at Rokaš locality

A break at the old fisherman's house in the locality of Rokaš and a tour of the educational hiking trail along Lake Sakadaš, accompanied by Apatin’s ornithologist, Nenad Spremo.

Participants will have the opportunity to get to know the birds of this area and the basics of bird watching.

12.30 – Departure for the Hunting Lodge

13.00 – Organised lunch and rest

Tour of the observatory and familiarisation with the natural values of the area.

2:30 p.m. – Departure for the Arka picnic area

15.30 – Coffee and service at Lake Arka

Final gathering of participants and free activities.
