Experiences from the Urban Mobility Days 2025 conference – Vilnius, September 30 – October 2, 2025
The Urban Mobility Days 2025 conference was an inspiring professional event focusing on the future of sustainable urban transport.
The event was held in Vilnius, this year's European Green Capital, and brought together hundreds of professionals, researchers, decision-makers, and EU projects, including the IBC project, which was represented at the conference.
During the three-day event, topics discussed included the role of urban mobility hubs (Urban Nodes) in the TEN-T network, the development of active forms of transport, especially cycling, and innovations and digitalization in public transport.
A key topic was how to increase the competitiveness of the European mobility system and how mobility can be linked to strategies for tourism, innovation, and the green transition.
It was particularly valuable for the IBC project to see how the development of cycling and inclusive tourism fits into the broader mobility goals of the EU. The conference provided an excellent opportunity to network, prepare new collaborations, and learn about good practices.
Vilnius provided an inspiring venue for this meeting – not only as a green capital, but also as a living example of how sustainable urban mobility works in practice.
