New Awareness Toolkit on Energy Communities Now Available!

As part of the deliverable D.2.5.1 – RECs Awareness Raising Toolkit, the NRGCOM project has published a comprehensive set of materials designed to promote the idea of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) and empower stakeholders to take the first steps toward local energy transition. These resources are now available in the Deliverables & Outputs section of the project website.

The Toolkit includes:

Booklet: “5 Steps to Your Energy Community”

A visually engaging and easy-to-follow guide that introduces the key building blocks of energy communities – from legal setup and governance models to choosing the right type of community and engaging stakeholders. Ideal for municipalities, citizens, and local leaders getting started with RECs.

Catalogue of Good Practice Case Studies

This collection showcases successful energy communities from across the Danube Region, including examples from Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, and more. Each case study highlights local approaches, technologies used, funding models, and lessons learned – a rich source of inspiration for replication.

Infographic: “Did You Know?”

A one-page infographic full of facts and figures about energy communities in Europe. It illustrates growth trends (e.g. Austria increasing from 5 to 3,750 RECs in just four years), citizen engagement, and policy milestones – perfect for awareness campaigns or social media.

Set of 3 Posters

Ready-to-print visuals highlighting the benefits of community energy, steps to get started, and the role of collaboration. Ideal for public events, schools, libraries, and local government spaces.
