NRGCOM Project Supported ENERGOfest 2025 and Led a Community Energy Workshop
On 6 October 2025, the fifth meeting of the Platform for Establishing Energy Communities took place as part of ENERGOfest 2025 at Parkhotel Hluboká nad Vltavou. The event brought together key actors from the Ministry of the Environment, the State Environmental Fund, the National Centre for the Support of Energy Communities, and the Union of Community Energy.
The NRGCOM project, led in the Czech Republic by JAIP (South Bohemian Agency for Support to Innovative Entrepreneurship), supported the event and contributed a thematic workshop focused on sharing pilot project experience and on developing community energy in the Czech Republic and across the Danube region.
The workshop was moderated by JAIP Director Michaela Novotná and centered on practical experience with pilot projects, cooperation between the public and private sectors, and strategic steps to strengthen community energy development.
Representatives of the Ministry and the Fund presented new funding programmes, expected to launch soon. The support package will include advisory services, training, seminars, and continuation of the KOMUNERG programme. Although the Czech Republic is awaiting the new government’s official position, there is broad consensus that community energy support will continue as it benefits society as a whole.
The programme included opening remarks by the Ministry and the Fund, a World Café format with discussions on funding calls, community facilitation, and pilot projects, and a presentation of the NRGCOM project, which aims to create enabling conditions for community energy in the Danube region through legal and operational analysis, awareness-raising, mentoring, and pilot actions
