NRGCOM Showcased at the Alba Green Energy Fair 2025
The NRGCOM project was proudly presented at the 13th Alba Green Energy Fair, held from 19 to 20 September 2025 in Alba Iulia, Romania. Organized by the Alba County Council and the Alba Local Energy Agency (ALEA), the fair has become one of Romania’s key regional events dedicated to renewable energy, sustainable technologies, and environmental innovation. This year’s edition attracted several hundred visitors, including citizens, municipal representatives, academics, and professionals from the energy and climate sectors.
The Energy Cities Romania (OER) represented NRGCOM at the event, highlighting how Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) can empower local authorities and citizens to take a leading role in the green transition. Through a dedicated stand and participation in the Business-to-Administration (B2A) workshop, OER presented practical insights into how communities can organize, manage, and benefit from renewable energy initiatives. The presentation emphasized the potential of RECs to strengthen local economies, enhance energy independence, and increase resilience to climate change.
Throughout the two-day event, visitors were invited to explore the NRGCOM Awareness Raising Toolkit, which includes the brochure 5 Steps to Your Energy Community, an infographic explaining the principles of community energy, and a catalogue of best practices from the Danube Region. These materials served as valuable resources for municipalities and citizens interested in establishing their own energy communities. The NRGCOM video was also broadcast on the fair’s main advertising screen, providing a dynamic introduction to the project’s objectives and achievements.
A particularly inspiring part of the presentation was the involvement of Mr. Andrei Ceclan, one of NRGCOM’s Renewable Energy Community Ambassadors. His participation added a personal dimension to the project’s outreach, connecting technical discussions with real community experiences. As a REC Ambassador, Mr. Ceclan plays a key role in motivating municipalities and citizens to actively participate in shaping a more sustainable local energy future.
OER’s presence at the Alba Green Energy Fair underscored the project’s core message — that collaboration between municipalities, businesses, and citizens is essential for building an inclusive and resilient energy system. By engaging directly with local stakeholders, NRGCOM continues to promote knowledge exchange and cooperation across the Danube Region, contributing to the development of sustainable, community-driven energy ecosystems.
