Employment Roundtable Organised in Dunaújváros
As part of a forward-looking initiative, the SteelCityZen Employment Roundtable was held on Thursday morning in the Almási Zsolt room, directly following an extraordinary general assembly. The event was established to address pressing labor market challenges and provide strategic answers to questions arising within the employment sector.
Mayor Tamás Pintér welcomed the invited entrepreneurs, business leaders, and potential employers. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that the history of Dunaújváros has always been deeply intertwined with work and industry.
"The identity of our city was built on industry, expertise, and disciplined, high-level professional performance," Mayor Pintér stated. "Generations grew up knowing that a secure livelihood, a stable community, and professional pride go hand in hand."
However, the Mayor noted that the global and local economies are changing rapidly, and the city must adapt to these new realities. "Recent times have shown that when significant transformations occur in the economy, they have not only corporate but also profound social impacts. A workplace is not merely a source of income, it provides community, identity, and stability."
During the event, Zsolt Szabó, Deputy Mayor for Economic and Coordination Affairs, took the floor to present the primary objectives and the planned implementation of the innovative SteelCityZen project. The initiative aims to support both employers and employees in navigating the evolving economic landscape.
The roundtable is designed to foster regular, meaningful dialogue with the city's economic actors. City leadership expressed their sincere hope that this inaugural meeting will not be a one-time event, but rather the foundation of a long-term, fruitful cooperation to secure the economic future and community well-being of Dunaújváros.
