Join the Danube Youth Council

Young people from nine Danube Region countries are invited to apply for the Danube Youth Council by 16 October 2024.

The Danube Youth Council (DYC) is calling for young people from the 14 Danube Region countries to apply and become members of this dynamic platform, which ensures the voices of youth are heard in shaping policies within the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR).

Established in October 2022, the DYC provides young people with the opportunity to directly influence political decisions, contribute to key regional policies, and participate in high-level events across Europe.

The Council is composed of 28 members, aged 18-29, with two representatives from each Danube Region country, including Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Germany, Hungary, Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.

DYC members will:

  • Propose actions and projects to enhance the Danube Region.
  • Bring youth perspectives to EUSDR high-level political discussions.
  • Participate in EUSDR events and contribute to transnational youth activities.
  • Engage in thematic projects relevant to the region, including policy papers and essays.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the Danube Region while building leadership experience on an international stage. Applications are now open for young, motivated individuals eager to represent their region.

For more details and to apply, visit the official EUSDR website.
