Be Ready Project Presented at the SpongeCity Project Final Conference

The Be Ready project was pleased to participate in the SpongeCity Final Conference, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and good practices on climate adaptation and resilient urban development.

During the conference, the Be Ready team presented the growing challenges posed by the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect and highlighted how cities across the Danube Region are addressing heat-related risks through collaborative planning and innovative pilot actions.

The presentation showcased the key achievements of the project, including practical methodologies, tools and solutions that can be replicated by other cities seeking to strengthen their resilience to climate change. Participants also learned about the wide range of resources developed by the project, such as guidance materials, training opportunities and the Be Ready community, which supports knowledge sharing and cooperation among local authorities, experts and stakeholders.

The session concluded by exploring opportunities for future collaboration and synergies between projects, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation to accelerate the implementation of effective climate adaptation measures.

Participation in the SpongeCity Final Conference provided an excellent platform to share the Be Ready project's results, exchange experiences with international partners, and strengthen connections with initiatives working towards more sustainable, climate-resilient cities.
