In the heart of the city, a new climate shelter for kids has been built at a local kindergarten as part of Chişinău’s effort to reduce the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect and create more resilient public spaces for children. Designed with “white acupuncture” principles, the shelter features a reflective, UV-resistant roof and flexible space for both educational and recreational activities, making outdoor time safer and more comfortable for young learners even during hot conditions.
