Final DANOVA NEXT Project Meeting held in Prague
Final DANOVA NEXT project meeting held in Prague
The final transnational meeting of the DANOVA NEXT project took place on 7th May 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic, gathering all 16 project partners from across the Danube Region. The meeting was hosted by the Czech Smart City Cluster (CSCC) and marked an important milestone as partners reviewed the project’s achievements, discussed the finalisation of activities and outputs, and explored opportunities for future cooperation beyond the project duration.
The meeting opened with a welcome session and registration, followed by presentations led by Dubrovnik Airport on project coordination, financial reporting, monitoring, and evaluation activities. Andrea Donda, project coordinator, informed partners about the current status of project implementation, the remaining activities to be completed, and the timeline for the submission of final deliverables and outputs.
A significant part of the agenda focused on Work Package T3 – Test of innovative services to increase the accessibility of transport in the Danube Region. During the morning session, project partners reviewed the Appraisal report on testing activities and discussed the first feedback collected from users involved in the pilot actions. The discussions highlighted valuable insights gained through the testing of innovative accessibility solutions implemented throughout the partner countries.

Further presentations focused on impact evaluation and transferability actions, including the collection and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs). Partners exchanged experiences regarding the measurable impact of pilot activities and discussed the long-term sustainability and transferability of project results within the Danube Region and beyond.
Another important topic was the updated Replication Package, which aims to support stakeholders and public transport providers in replicating DANOVA NEXT solutions and methodologies. The University of Maribor presented the updated template and the status of finalisation of the package, while partners reviewed the remaining steps necessary before its official publication.
In the afternoon session, all project partners provided updates on the organisation of local events planned under Deliverable D3.3.3. These events will serve to present project outcomes, pilot solutions, and recommendations to local and regional stakeholders, public transport operators, and decision-makers interested in improving accessibility for persons with disabilities.
Following the discussion about local events, SOIH – Croatian Union of Associations of Persons with Disabilities – presented the progress of communication activities within the project, with a particular focus on Deliverable D3.2.3 “Video Pills”. Partners were informed about the implementation status of the activity and upcoming communication actions.
The final session of the meeting was dedicated to the completion of project outputs, administrative closure procedures, and discussions on possible follow-up initiatives and future cooperation opportunities. Partners also held a Steering Committee session during which the final steps for project closure were officially approved.
Following the official programme, participants had the opportunity to enjoy a guided tour of Prague and informal networking activities. The day concluded with a social dinner hosted by CSCC, providing an opportunity for partners to reflect on the successful cooperation achieved throughout the DANOVA NEXT project and to strengthen connections for future collaboration in the field of inclusive and accessible transport.
