DANOVA NEXT Video Pills Showcase Pilot Actions Bringing Accessible Transport to Life

As part of the DANOVA NEXT project activities, transport project partners, under the guidance of SOIH, have successfully developed three short video pills (Deliverable 3.2.3), designed to visually present the project’s pilot actions and innovative accessibility solutions in the transport sector across the Danube Region.

The video pills represent an important communication and dissemination tool of the project, as they translate technical project results into a clear, engaging and easily understandable visual format. Their main purpose is to showcase the real impact of the pilot activities implemented in airports, ports and urban public transport systems, highlighting how accessibility improvements are being introduced in practice and how they benefit end users - persons with disabilities.

A total of three thematic videos have been produced, each focusing on a specific transport mode:

Air transport video pill, presenting pilot activities implemented at airports (Dubrovnik, Budapest, Podgorica, Sarajevo & Chisinau).
Urban public transport video pill, showcasing solutions implemented in local transport systems (Prague, Maribor & Bratislava).
Maritime transport video pill, presenting pilot actions in port environments (Kotor & Pula).

Each video combines real footage of implemented solutions, equipment and tools procured within the project, as well as practical demonstrations of their use in everyday transport operations. In addition, short statements from transport operators, staff or end-users provide further insight into the value and usability of the implemented measures.

By transforming technical outputs into visually engaging stories, the video pills contribute to raising awareness about the importance of inclusive and accessible transport systems, while also promoting good practices that can be replicated across the Danube Region and beyond.
