DANOVA NEXT WEB APPLICATION presented at the Game Changer Montenegro 2026 Conference

The DANOVA NEXT project was presented at the Game Changer Montenegro 2026 conference, held in Tivat, one of the leading regional events dedicated to technology, innovation, digital transformation and investment, bringing together industry leaders, decision-makers, investors and technology experts to discuss the trends shaping the future.

Representing Airports of Montenegro as the critical infrastructure operator, DANOVA NEXT Project Coordinator Jelena Krklješ participated in a panel discussion on cybersecurity and the resilience of critical infrastructure, where she shared the project's experience in developing the DANOVA NEXT web application and highlighted that successful digital transformation extends far beyond software development.

Bringing together ten transport organisations from eight countries required the harmonisation of different data management practices, operational procedures and organisational standards into a single digital ecosystem. One of the project's key achievements was the development of common templates and methodologies for collecting, maintaining and sharing information, ensuring that passengers receive reliable and consistent travel information regardless of the transport hub or country.

A key message of the presentation was that the greatest challenge is not developing a digital application, but enabling organisations from different countries to rely on the same data, apply common standards and jointly maintain a secure and reliable system.

This experience is particularly valuable because the DANOVA NEXT platform was designed to extend beyond the original project consortium. The Smart Transport Network is open to new transport organisations, which follow the same onboarding process and meet the same technical, organisational and data management requirements developed within the project. By applying the same standards from the very beginning, new partners can seamlessly integrate into the network while preserving interoperability, data quality, reliability and cybersecurity. This demonstrates that the long-term value of DANOVA NEXT lies not only in the digital solution itself, but also in the governance framework that enables its sustainable growth and future expansion.
