Green-Tex Project Showcases Sustainable Textile Waste Management in Podgorica

On 23 April 2026, Green-Tex project partner PP8 UDG delivered a presentation to stakeholders on textile waste management at the Faculty of Design and Multimedia in Podgorica, Montenegro, in cooperation with representatives of Deponija d.o.o.

The session introduced the Green-Tex project and addressed key challenges facing the textile industry in the context of environmental protection. Particular attention was given to the growing issue of textile waste, its environmental impacts, and the importance of developing sustainable approaches to managing this waste stream.

Participants had the opportunity to learn about current practices in the collection, sorting, and treatment of textile waste. Representatives of Deponija d.o.o. enriched the discussion by sharing practical insights and real-life examples, shedding light on the current situation and challenges in the sector.

The presentation also fostered an open discussion on potential solutions and future directions aimed at reducing environmental impacts and promoting circular economy principles within the textile industry.

This activity represents an important step in raising awareness about sustainable resource management and encouraging a more responsible approach to textile production and consumption.
