Slovenian Eco‑Fashion in the Spotlight: Green‑Tex Designers Embrace Upcycling and Wool for September Runway in Postojna

As part of the Green-Tex project piloting activities, fashion designers in Slovenia are applying eco-conscious design approaches such as upcycling ♻️, zero-waste techniques 🚫🗑️ and other circular practices. These principles will be featured in the Green fashion show this September in Postojna 👗🌿.

The Green-Tex project second pilot activity focuses on the broader use of natural, locally sourced fibres-particularly wool 🐑-in fabric production. To explore this further, team of Green-Tex project partner Nativa, together with Destilator studio, visited colleagues in Woonko-Centar vune Majur to learn more about their wool fabric prototyping. It was truly inspiring to see the community of local women, guided by professors from the Faculty of Textile Technology in Zagreb, working together to bring the process of local wool production back to life. Their wool fabrics will also be featured in the upcoming fashion show.
