Development of SWOT analysis for pilot area in Međimurje County

An important workshop was held in Međimurje County by Public Institution REDEA as part of the Mystical Danube project. The workshop brought together key stakeholders from the pilot area in Međimurje County, who made a significant contribution to the development of SWOT analysis for pilot area. Prior to the development of the SWOT analysis, Mario Gregar from MIGEO Strategy presented the completed Territorial Analysis of Međimurje County. Through interactive and participatory work, the stakeholders actively participated in creating the SWOT analysis, which will serve as a foundation for the further development of the selected pilot area and positioning it on the tourist map of Europe.

The SWOT analysis, together with the Territorial Analysis of Međimurje County, will form the basis for the creation of key project documents – a joint strategy and action plan. This approach, based on communication and collaboration, has ensured a deeper understanding of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats specific for pilot area, laying a solid foundation for realizing a shared vision – the preservation of rich cultural and natural heritage through tourism valorization. The results of the workshop will serve as a basis for the development of sustainable community tourism initiatives along the Danube regions, with a focus on rural and less-visited areas.
