DEMONSTRATION EVENT UNDER THE MYSTICAL DANUBE PROJECT AT THE ENCHANTED FOREST, VINITSA

As part of Act. 3.3 “Promotion and implementation of the Green and Mystical Danube Storytelling Route” and activity D.3.3.2 “Guided tour for interested tourists at BG contact points”, a demonstration event was held on 14 May 2026 at the Enchanted Forest near the village of Vinitsa.

The event was organised within the framework of the MYSTICAL DANUBE project, funded by the INTERREG Danube Region Programme, with the Regional Development Agency with Business Support Centre for SMEs – Plovdiv acting as the Bulgarian project partner. Participants were introduced to the Bulgarian contact point along the Green and Mystical Danube Storytelling Route through an on‑site guided experience. The programme included a visit to the natural site, exploration of the vegetable and herb garden maintained by the hosts, and a tasting of wines produced by the nearby Zagreus Winery, including limited‑edition White Mavrud, Rosé, and Red Mavrud.

The hosts, Katya and Nasko, presented locally grown produce, herbs, fruits, and lesser‑known varieties of leafy greens, cultivated with notable care and attention. Their hospitality contributed to an authentic and memorable experience for all participants.

The event supported the promotion and practical implementation of the Storytelling Route, highlighting the potential of local natural and cultural assets to enrich sustainable, community‑based tourism in the Danube region.
