
The flavour of the Mystical Danube – stories, wine and nature
On August 23, 2025, RDA BSC SMEs took part in a unique cultural and culinary event in Vinitsa – Terroir Cheeses & Wine Under the Stars.
The event featured a masterclass, tasting and dinner infused with the spirit of the Green & Mystical Danube Storytelling Route.
From ancient Bulgarian cheeses reborn in clay, gourds and earthenware, to exquisite wines from South Sakar, every flavour told a story. Chef Ivan Vulkov’s gourmet creations and the soulful music of Duo M & P made the night truly magical.
Ideas were exchanged with local producers and guests on integrating natural and intangible heritage – from traditional flavours to local legends – into sustainable tourism that benefits both communities and the environment along the Danube.
The event highlighted the rich diversity of Bulgarian cheese and its potential to foster connections across cultures and generations through shared stories and traditions.
