Dunaújváros Presents SteelCityZen at European Researchers’ Night in Budapest
Dunaújváros proudly showcased its SteelCityZen project at this year’s European Researchers’ Night in Hungary, hosted at Óbuda University in Budapest. The event, one of the largest science outreach initiatives in Europe, provided a unique opportunity for citizens of all ages to engage directly with cutting-edge research and innovation.
At Óbuda University, visitors had the chance to explore the project’s aims and early activities, learning how industrial heritage and local know-how can be transformed into new opportunities for green and digital transitions. Interactive discussions highlighted how SteelCityZen connects with broader European strategies for resilience, skills development, and socio-economic innovation.
Alongside SteelCityZen, several other European initiatives were presented, including Horizon Europe and Erasmus+ projects, demonstrating the diversity of EU-funded research and education programmes that foster collaboration, inclusion, and knowledge exchange across Europe.
