The Danube Region Programme (DRP) Annual Event 2025 will take place on 5 November 2025 during the 14th EUSDR Annual Forum in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This year’s DRP plenary session will focus on how the Danube Region Programme (DRP) and the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) can jointly drive the future integration, sustainability, and competitiveness of the Danube Region.

Insights from the European Commission on how modernization and transnational cooperation can strengthen regional integration and support EU accession efforts.

30 Years of Cooperation in the Danube Region
The Danube Programme will reflect on lessons learned, achievements, and new opportunities to enhance territorial integration and governance across the region.

💧 Panel 1: Water Availability

Exploring the growing challenges of water scarcity and droughts in the Danube Basin. Discussions will focus on governance frameworks, monitoring tools, and innovative solutions to build climate resilience and ensure sustainable water management.

👥 Panel 2: Demographic Change

Examining how aging populations, youth migration, and labour shortages are reshaping the region’s future. The panel will highlight strategies for skills development, education reform, and inclusive growth to make the Danube Region a place where people and businesses thrive.
