From 3D Printing to Formula Racing: TransAC Supports Student Innovation

Students from the University of Novi Sad in Serbia participated in practical training on FDM 3D printing at the national TransAC center, applying their newly acquired skills to their Student Formula project. The activity demonstrated how additive manufacturing can support real-world engineering challenges and student innovation.

As part of the training, students designed and produced specialized welding fixtures for Formula racing car chassis tubes. The use of 3D printing helped improve precision, efficiency, and flexibility during the manufacturing process.

By combining hands-on learning with practical engineering applications, the activity strengthened students' technical skills and problem-solving abilities. It also highlighted the TransAC project's contribution to supporting young engineering talent and connecting education with innovative manufacturing technologies.
