How can innovative construction solutions respond to the realities of rural areas across the Danube Region?

On 26 October 2026, Danube Ruralscapes will bring together professionals and experts from across the partnership for an online knowledge-transfer webinar exploring innovative construction methods and practical solutions for rural areas.

The webinar will look beyond theory towards construction solutions, professional practices and case examples that can respond to the specific needs of rural settlements.

Topics will range from sustainable and climate-resilient construction, local and natural materials and adaptive reuse to circular construction, energy-efficient renovation, landscape-integrated solutions and digital technologies supporting rural construction.

From Local Solutions to Transferable Knowledge

The webinar is designed as an exchange between experts working across different countries and rural contexts in the Danube Region.

Expert presentations will introduce practical construction solutions, case studies and professional practices, followed by a moderated discussion exploring what can be transferred between regions, where common challenges emerge and what these experiences could contribute to future approaches to sustainable rural construction.

The expert session and discussion will be moderated by Dr. Bálint Kadar, Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), Lead Partner of Danube Ruralscapes.
