13th EUSDR Annual Forum

Join us for the 13th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), which will take place on June 20-21, 2024 at Aula der Wissenschaften in Vienna, under the slogan "Cooperation in the Danube Region: now more than ever!"

The 13th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) provides a platform for all stakeholders of the Region and beyond to discuss challenges ahead, to work on joint solutions and to create visions for a prosperous future.

The event will be organised by the Austrian Presidency of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, represented by the Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry, Regions and Water Management and the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, together with the City of Vienna as host city.

About the event

We will convene in Vienna on 20-21 June 2024. Following the theme "Shaping Transformation, Creating Opportunities," the programme will offer a wide range of discussions, keynotes, and interactive sessions aimed at fostering cooperation and innovation in the Danube Region.

Highlights include:

Welcome reception aboard the Charter Ship MS Admiral Tegetthoff
Opening session with lecture by Elisa Ferreira, Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, and also featuring a state of the region report and high-level panel discussion
Mayors' Talk focusing on the role of cities as transformation hubs
Parallel thematic sessions on green transition
High-level plenary panel on geopolitics, stability, prosperity and future perspectives in the Danube Region
Danube networking party at Palmenhaus
Reflections on future cooperation
Field trips to explore Vienna and Lower Austria's transnational sustainability initiatives
