Food as a Tool for Inclusion
SReST and Culinary Trail identified strong synergies in the areas of culinary heritage, social inclusion and employability. Both projects engage vulnerable groups and use local gastronomy as a tool for community development and tourism innovation.
Examples of cooperation:
exchange of methodologies for working with migrants and minorities
participation in joint events
involvement of the SReST Ukrainian community in the Culinary Trail Roadshow
joint promotion activities and media outreach

FoRESisT contributed valuable knowledge on ecosystem services, forest food traditions and biodiversity conservation. These findings supported SReST pilot activities and policy recommendations.

exchange of research on forest food consumption
transfer of biodiversity protection recommendations
valorisation of chestnut heritage and local food traditions
links between ecosystem services and sustainable tourism
The projects exchanged knowledge on mapping, itinerary design and stakeholder engagement to strengthen tourism products based on natural and cultural heritage.

The SReST and Green-Tex projects explored the connection between slow food and slow fashion through local production, traditional skills and circular economy principles.
