Kick-off meeting (Prague, Czechia)

On 25 and 26 January 2024, the kick-off meeting of the PilotInnCities project, funded by the Interreg Danube Programme and led by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, took place. This initial meeting brought together all 11 partners from six countries (Czechia, Slovakia, Germany, Hungary, Serbia and Romania), who share the ultimate objective of introducing the Finland-inspired agile piloting method to the Danube region, to the heart of Europe in Prague.

The first day took place in Healthy Longevity Café and was dedicated to internal preparation of the consortium for matters related to administration, financing, communication and coordination. The second day of the meeting was held in the premises of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. Strategies to support innovative partnerships between businesses and municipalities in living labs and agile piloting in general were discussed. A specific attention was given to each project activity, output, result and target group. When leaving Prague, project partners were already contemplating their first major task: to start mapping and interacting with stakeholders of the quadruple helix, i.e. academia, industry, government and civil society.
