Successful Showcase of Smart City Solutions at URBIS 2025

The URBIS Smart City Meetup, held from June 10 to June 12, 2025, at the Brno Exhibition Centre, Czech republic brought together key stakeholders and innovators to shape the future of smart and sustainable cities in the Danube region and beyond.

This year’s event welcomed high-level representatives from ministries, municipal leaders, and leading companies. Among the distinguished guests were several Czech ministers, highlighting the strong support of public authorities for innovative urban development.

A special highlight of the fair was the presentation of the 12 finalists from the PilotInnCities competition. These innovative solutions addressed a wide range of urban challenges — from green mobility and digital infrastructure to citizen engagement and sustainable energy. Each finalist had the opportunity to present their ideas and demonstrate their potential impact in front of an engaged audience of city representatives, policymakers, and industry experts.

The PilotInnCities showcase underlined the importance of cross-sectoral collaboration and the need for scalable solutions to improve urban living. The event also facilitated valuable networking between cities, technology providers, and policy actors, strengthening the community of innovators working towards smarter and more resilient cities.

We would like to thank all participants, speakers, and partners who contributed to making URBIS 2025 a truly inspiring and impactful event. We look forward to continuing this momentum and supporting the implementation of innovative pilot projects throughout the Danube region.
