DECIDE Project Final Meeting and Steering Committee Meeting

On Tuesday, 12 May 2026, the DECIDE Final Project Partner Meeting was held in Čakovec, Croatia. During the Meeting partners worked on the validation and presentation of DECIDE tools and results, including tools for assessing circular economy potential, blockchain and monitoring solutions, and recommendations for the implementation of digital services and sustainable business models. One of the important topics was the sustainability of project results and possibilities for their continued use after the project’s completion.

During the final DECIDE Project Partner Meeting, particular emphasis was placed on interactive workshops aimed at validating project results, exchanging experiences, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of developed solutions.

One of the central workshop sessions focused on the validation of the DECIDE Value Chain Generator tool. The workshop enabled partners to test and discuss one of the key tools developed within the project, designed to support organisations in identifying circular economy opportunities and implementing sustainable business models within their value chains.

Partners also participated in a peer exchange and peer review workshop dedicated to the Circular Economy Business Models best practices and showcases.  Working collaboratively in smaller groups, project partners conducted in-depth reviews of several selected pilot cases. Through this peer review process, participants provided constructive feedback, shared experiences and lessons learned, and jointly explored opportunities for further improving the catalogue of cases.

A particularly engaging part of the programme was the interactive peer-exchange session titled The Future of DECIDE, focused on the sustainability and transferability of project results beyond the project lifetime. Working together in smaller discussion groups, partners explored concrete measures, future cooperation opportunities, and possible mechanisms for ensuring the continued use, development, and wider transferability of DECIDE tools and services after the project’s completion.

As part of the final meeting, the DECIDE Steering Committee also convened to discuss the project’s final implementation phase and future cooperation beyond the project lifetime. The session included a review of the achievements and progress of the final reporting periods, an outlook on the remaining project activities, and discussions on the status of the first-year recommendations.

A key moment of the meeting was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by Steering Committee members and organisations committed to supporting the long-term sustainability and transferability of DECIDE results.
